High School Engineering Training Institute (HSETI)

 As part of the Center of Academic Excellence in National Security Intelligence Studies, Wayne State University will host a High School Engineering Training Institute (HSETI). This program is geared for high school students interested in learning more about Engineering, Science, Math and the Intelligence Community.   As we toward a more global society, the HSETI will also offer a course in a foreign language.  

The HSETI recruits academically talented students to participate in a challenging four-week summer program and an academic year program on the campus of Wayne State University.  The program will introduce them to campus life, while exposing them to the field of engineering and intelligence through a variety of course work, hands-on experiences, and interactive workshops.  HSETI offers a variety of educational courses designed to enhance their academic achievement in the science, technical, engineering, and mathematics (STEM0 fields.  The course work is also designed to develop their analytical and critical thinking skills.  The students will be provided an overview on the intelligence community, as well as, technical careers in federal agencies.
